You can dial *77 on your cell phone to reach the State Police anytime! They can direct you to the local police, call emergency services, report accidents and suspicious behavior and more. I have personally done this and it works. You can even use *77 to confirm that an actual police officer is pulling you over! Many women have fallen victim to being pulled over by someone impersonating a police officer (myself included). It can be a fatal mistake NOT to check and no police officer should be offended by you confirming with dispatch before actually pulling over and stopping your vehicle.
